Conservatory, Atlanta Botanical Garden. July 2003. This rare conifer species reminds one of a weeping, blue-tipped Sequoia. This species was not named until 1947 and the entire genus was not recognized until 1903. One is apt to see A. pancheri more often though both are exceedingly scarce. It is sometimes labeled as Acropyle but Acmopyle is correct.
